Get out of Iraq!

Want to know how to get out of Iraq?

Win the war!

I know I will not be received well for this post. I know I’ll get a lot of hate mail telling me this isn’t the kind of thing we want to hear about, or see… or even acknowledge, but people, this is the way it is. And, if you don’t want to hear it, remember or deal with it… quit reading now.

This may ramble a bit as, the thoughts come... but they all tie together.

In my humble opinion, we have allowed people that have no idea on how to win, much less fight a war, run this war. And, they are running it as they ran Viet Nam. Politicians, celebrities, “humanitarians,” and peaceful loving people telling the men and women of this proud country… “You can’t do that.” That’s not humane.

I wish this war had not started. I wish this war hadn’t taken so long. I wish ALL our troops were no longer in harms way. But, we put them there, and they were proud and ready to go. Allow them to do the job they have trained for…WIN!

WE were attacked by someone. We had our noses bloodied… we lost 3000+ men, women and children in the blink of an eye! Unarmed. Unexpecting. At the time, unknowing, that there was a problem. Going about their lives in a normal, American fashion. Running to work, babysitters and newsstands. Going about their routine as if nothing was wrong. Not knowing they were about to die. Not even knowing who was responsible… Now, they are gone. We cannot bring them back. We cannot undo what has been done.

Every American was saddened and pained as the planes crashed into the Towers… Retaliation was in order. It was the Nations cry! And, we did. Have you forgotten 9/11? Have you forgotten that on that day, we were not at war with the enemy that attacked us? As with December 7th… we were the subject of an unprovoked attack!

Why? Did we behead anyone? Did we kidnap anyone? No. We were attacked because we are (as a majority) a Christian Nation. A country founded by men and women that were tired of a national religion. Tired of being taxed to death and having nothing to show for it. Oh, we’re on that road again. ( $30 BILLION for foreign aide to countries that don’t even like us??? WTF!?!?)

We are the GREATEST nation in the world. Obama wants to change that??? A qualification on WHAT he wants to change and how he intends to accomplish that would be nice. Remember; when you allow someone to take away a right, you allow them to rule your life.

We are losing our ground in that respect because of the in-fighting going on right now. Because we are talking about backing out of a war we started. THAT shows cowardice. It shows a lack of conviction. It shows that any kind of attack upon us will result in…. um, nothing. No retaliation. Or, if there is, a half-hearted, less than required, amount of conviction to win.

After Viet Nam, we have become a nation of people that don’t WANT to win. (We have become so damn politically correct that, we can’t even say things that are meaningless and innocuous!) So, with that in mind, more attacks on our soil and our people, will continue, and more people will die. So, more groups, factions and countries with a lot more moxie than we seem to have, will come in and take us over…

What is it going to take to get the American people to grow a backbone once again? To become the strong and admired nation we once were.

The military men and women in this country are trained to win. They have people training them that have won wars. That have first hand knowledge of what it takes. They are veterans of numerous conflicts, skirmishes, battles and wars. Men and women of conviction and honor.

The people we are in conflict with are not following the same rules we are forcing our troops to follow. We give them the knowledge and tools, then tell them “you can’t use this or do that, because it’s not nice! This is equivalent to showing up with a knife to a gun fight. If you force someone to utilize the “Marquis of Queensbury” rules and your opponent can do as they wish, you KNOW who will be victorious going in.

It’s the same with this war we have allowed to continue. Why is it continuing? Because we have allowed it. We have good people who call themselves “humanitarians,” telling us we torture our captives by “water-boarding” and that’s not humane. So, we are now the most inhumane people on Earth. Hmmm…

Beheading is humane? Attacking and killing unarmed innocents is humane?

Don’t you think that KNOWING you will be beheaded isn’t torture? And then have the process take up to five minutes before you die? During this process, veins, arteries, tendons, ligaments, bone and muscle are severed with great effort, in a sawing manner, and for the majority of this process, you are alive. Is that not torture? Is that humane?

Allow our soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen do what they were trained to do… TO WIN.

Remember: If you don’t try, you can’t win.

If you do try, but your hands are bound, you won’t win.

Get Hollywood out of the way! Get the liberal press with their hand wringing, doom-sayer attitude out of the way. Get the politicians with agendas out of the way. It's not a wonder our service members are not happy about this war. WE won't let them fight in the manner required to win!

Let our men and women in uniform do their job. Allow them to utilize the training they received. The tools. Let them win.

Remember FDR's words: "We have nothing to fear, but fear itself!"

We seem to fear everything now...

In My Humble Opinion.
